Williams, James Fennimore Cooper -- Jr. 2nd Lieutenant - November 13, 1861. Elected 2nd Lieutenant December 1, 1861; 1st Lieutenant June 1, 1863. Severely wounded and captured at Monocacy, Maryland July 9, 1864. Sent to Federal Hospital at Frederick City, Maryland July 10, 1864. Transferred to West's Buildings Hospital at Baltimore, Maryland August 21, 1864. Paroled, considered unfit for further duty account of wounds, September 1864. Elected Captain February 6, 1865. Pension records show he was at Danville, Virginia attempting to rejoin command close of war. (Born in Georgia). 31st Georgia Infantry Regiment
