A. Florence, wife of the late Lowndes Taylor, formerly of West Chester, passed away at 9:50 o'clock last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Noble, 2006 Shunk street, Philadelphia, in her 88th year.
She was born in New York State and had lived in St. Paul, Minn., but had spent most of her life in the vicinity of West Chester, her husband owning the property on which the Golf Club is located.
She had been ill for the past ten days and was taken seriously ill on Friday evening. Her husband died in April, 1936.
She is survived by the following children: Archer, a professor in the University of California, at Berkley, Calif.; Mrs. Anne Stichter, of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Agnes Noble and Elinor Taylor; Philadelphia. A daughter, Aurora, passed away in 1903. There are several grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to atend the funeral at the Harold A. Famous Funeral Home, 101 S. Church st., West Chester, on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. Interment in Rosedale Avenue Friends' Burial Grounds. Friends may call Tuesday evening.
