Mrs. Passmore W. Hoopes
Margaret Worrall Hoopes, 81, formerly of 423 Price St., West Chester, died in Delaware County Hospital, Upper Darby, yesterday morning. She had been a resident of the Bishop Home in Media.
Born in West Nantmeal Township, daughter of the late Frank C. and Mary McFadden Worrall. Mrs. Hoopes graduated from Wallace High School in Glenmoore, and the West Chester Normal School Class of 1912.
Mrs. Hoopes taught school for 45 years and 35 years of that time was spent in the West Chester Public Schools. In 1953, she received the N. Harlan Slack Award. She retired from teaching in 1957.
A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the New Century Club of West Chester, Mrs. Hoopes was also a life member of the Chester County Retired School Employes Association, National Retired Teachers Association, and the Pennsylvania State Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a step-son, Frank B. Hoopes of Upper Darby, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Joseph E. Boyd Funeral Home, 101 S. Church St., West Chester. Interment will be in Rosedale Avenue Friends Burial Grounds.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services fro the James W. Wilde & Sons Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, Pa., on Wednesday, May 9, 1973 at 2 p.m. Interment Rosedale Avenue Friends Burial Ground. Friends may call Tuesday evening.
