Burial was to be in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery under the director [sic direction] of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Rayville.
Mr. McCarty died Tuesday in Lincoln General Hospital after a short illness.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Loyd McCarty Jr. of Carthage, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Ponder of Archibald, Mrs. Audie Rashal of Gilbert and Mrs. Ada Noah of Ruston; and two grandchildren.
