Jesse Hiatt is the eighth child of eleven born to Elihu Dr. Hiatt and Rebecca (COURTER) Hiatt. Jesse was born in western Arkansas while the family was crossing the plains. Jesse married Amelia SHAW on 13 February 1879 in Harrisville, Weber, Utah, USA.
