Nellie Agnes Rodgers was the daughter of Lidia Jane Campbell (1884-1959) and Clifford Lloyd Rodgers (1884-1943.

She married Harry Oliver Calhoun (1905-1957) on May 18, 1930 in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Children:
• Harry Perry, Lt Col. (1930-__)
James Rodgers (1934-1951)
• Finley Joel (1940-1996)
• Edna Jane Bloom (1942-__)
• Jan Earl (1944-__)

Nellie lived with her daughter, Edna Jane Bloom, in Lake City, Erie County, Pennsylvania and wintered in Eustis, Lake County, Florida, where she died.

Funeral services will be held Friday in Petrolia for Mrs. Nellie A. Rodgers Calhoun, 73, of Eustis Fla., formerly of Fairview, Petrolia R.D. 1, who died at 4:30 a.m. yesterday in her home in Eustis, of natural causes.
Mrs. Calhoun was retired from Armstrong County School District, where she was an elementary teacher at Sugar Creek Township School, after 28 years of service.
She was a member of Fairview United Presbyterian Church, the Pennsylvania and National Retired Teachers Associations, the American Association of Retired Persons, the Order of Eastern Star and Rebecca lodge of Chicora, and the Actioneers of Orland, Fla.
Born in Bartlesville, Okla., April 29, 1908, she was the daughter of Clifford L and Lida Jane Campbell Rodgers.
In 1932 she married Harry O. Calhoun. He died Jan. 1, 1957.
Surviving are three sons, Col. Harry P. Calhoun of Medical Lake, Wash., F. Joel Calhoun of Butler R.D. 3, and Jan E. of Girard, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Edna) Bloom of Lake City, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; a brother Asa Rodgers of Odessa, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Belle Leeger of Fontana, Calif.
A son and two sisters preceded her in death.

Calhoun - Friends of Mrs. Nellie A. Rodgers Calhoun of Eustis, Fla., formerly of Petrolia R.D. 1, who died Monday, March 15, 1982, will be received at the Richard D. Hills Funeral Home, Petrolia, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald M. Anderson, pastor of Fairview United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia. Arrangements by Hills.
