Mrs. Hattie Tinney, one of the oldest resident of Columbiana, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.C. Spivey, after a short illness of pneumonia. She was 83 years old.
Funeral Services, held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, were conducted by Rev. T.K. Roberts, and old friend of the family. Mr. Roberts paid tribute to Mrs. Tinney for her long years of devoted services to her church and as a Christian mother to her family.
Mrs. Tinney was one of the oldest members of the Columbiana Methodist church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Spivey and Mrs. H. A. Miller of Boothton and two sons, C.R. and Ollie Tinney Of Columbiana.
