Mr. John Love McLean, an aged and respected citizen of Walton County, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Howell, at Chattahoochee, Florida, Nov. 19, 1927, and was buried at the Euchee Valley Cemetery, on the following day in the presence of a large congregation.

Mr. McLean, son of Daniel Monroe and Catherine McKinnon McLean, was born February 22, 1844, and departed this life November 19, 1927. He was married to Jeanette Campbell in young manhood, and to this union was born two daughters, Catherine Campbell (now Mrs. J. D. Howell, of Chattahoochee) and Abbie Annie, who died several months ago.

Mr. McLean served in the Confederate Army, during the Civil War, and was for many years a faithful and consistent member of the Euchee Valley Presbytyerian church. He was kind-hearted, conscientious, and faithful to every trust. The high esteem in which he was held by his fellow countrymen was attested to by the unusually large congregation present at his funeral.
