Decatur Daily Democrat, Monday March 11, 1985

Clois D. Eichar, 70, route 3, died unexpectedly of a heart attack suffered at home around 6:50 p.m. Sunday. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was born in Mercer County, Ohio on April 16, 1914 to Walter and Laura Springer-Eichar, and married the former Winona "Winnie" Fleming on August 14, 1937. She is his only survivor. One sister, Faye Lehman, preceded him in death.

A 1935 graduate of Decatur High School, he was a former employee of the Adams County Trailer Sales. He also owned and operated a welding shop on 8th St. until 1945. He was a retired volunteer fireman with the Decatur Fire Department.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick-Boltz and Jahn Funeral Home, Rev. Larry Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Visiting hours are after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Preferred memorials are gifts to the Adams County chapter of the American Cancer Society.
