Sarah Ethel Stafford, 77, of Gassville, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, died Friday at a Calico Rock nursing home. She was the widow of James Sydney Stafford, who died in 1958.
The daughter of Henry Alva Morris and Judith Byrd Morris, she was born in this county Nov. 5, 1893. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include five sons, Ralph of Gassville, Elvin of Oroville, Calif., Weldon of Springfield, Mo., Harlie of Little Rock, and Walter of Diggins, Mo.; a daugther, Mrs. Vera Hodges of Midway; two brothers, Harrison Morris of Gassville, and Floyd Morris of Midway; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Whiteville Baptist Church with Rev. Carl White of Calico Rock, officiating. Interment was in the Whiteville cemetery under the direction of the McClure Service.
Pallbearers were Clifton Morris, Harold Sinor, Miles Anglin, Keith Stafford, Kenneth Trammell, and Leon Marler.
