Robert Lewis Sanders age 60 died Sunday, January 25, 2009. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sanders was a native of Washington County but had made his home in Milledgeville and Ivey. He was retired from the Sawmill Industry and was preceded in death by his father Ras Sanders, brother Jerry "Jaybird" Sanders and sister Nancy Sue Wood. Survivors include his wife Diane Yarbrough Sanders of Ivey, son Tony Frost (Joy) of Cullman, AL, his daughters Sandy Price (Scott) of Marietta and Carol Walker (Thad) of Milledgeville, and Teresa Sanders, his mother Mary F. Sanders of Anderson, SC, sisters; Lora "Bell" Roberts of Anderson,SC and Shirley Brown (Shaler) of Sandersville, family friend Sue Lockaby (Wayne) of Ivey, serveral grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moores Funeral Home. Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
