TRANSCRIBED OBIT:
J. Garnett Land business manager of the First Christian church here for 18 years, died of a heart attack Thursday morning in St. Anthony hospital. Services at the First Christian church. Burial will be at Fairlawn cemetery under direction of Guardian funeral home. Born Sept. 11, 1892, in Oklahoma City, Land was a son of L. L. Land, an '89er and pioneer Oklahoma City resident. He graduated from Central high school here and attended the University of Oklahoma. where he was a member of Kappa Alpha order. He was a World war 1 veteran; and an active member of 'the Kiwanis club here. Joining First Christian church as a young boy. Land held one of the oldest membership in the church. Survivors include his Wife. Faye, of the home at 1908 NW 16; a daughter, Mrs. Ryland Keys, 432 NW 46 terrace: two sisters, Mrs. J. Paul Richardson, 2215 NW 22, and Mrs. L. M. Hays, 1833 Gatewood; and two grandsons.
