Hi. Thank you so much for creating this Memorial to my grandfather's sister, Nettie. Aunt Nettie was married first to Mr. Duane R. Barber, b. 5/21/1898 and d. 4/27/1928, buried @ Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Aunt Nettie H. Kitchens Barber Hix, b. 8/7/1898 and d. 5/7/1976 (all, as per the book Cemeteries of Paulding Co., Revised, copyright 2006, p 155 & 160-HIX, Nettie Kitchens W/O William L. Hix, (d. 1968) @ Mt. Zion. Mrs. Barber and Mr. Hix both had families prior to their marriage. Some of Nettie's and Duane Barber's children are buried at Pine Ridge, including U. [V.] Barber (in book as Barer) Gray, who m.Sharon Edward Gray, WWII veteran; Pauline T. Barber, who m. Raymond Mauldin. Aunt Nettie's second husband, Lonnie William Hix, b. 11/25/1887 and d. 3/17/1968 is also buried at Pine Ridge. Aunt Nettie, thus, had two spouses: 1. Duane R. Barber and 2.
