ABBEVILLE Richard "Ricky" Wayne Hankins Jr., 19, died Sunday, June 14, 1998, as the result of an automobile accident on Highway 7 in Lafayette County. He was a framer for Gilbert Construction Company. He was a member of Abbeville Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Hope and Jack Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Abbeville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Tessa Hankins of Abbeville; his parents, Augusta and Richard Hankins Sr. of Abbeville; one sister, Jeremy DePriest of Abbeville; his maternal grandparents, Gus and Minnie Billingsley; his paternal grandmother, Katherine Hankins; one niece, Jordan DePriest of Abbeville.
