Age at death 78yr old.∼John William Burger Sr., 77, of Heber Springs, passed away May 20, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1928, in Erlanger, Ky., the son of the late Katherine Hummel Burger and John Burger.
He was an upholsterer for some 50 years before his retirement 12 years ago. He was a member of Heber Springs Christian Church where he served as Elder.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Lou Graham, who died October 20, 1995. He later married Dortha Faye Bulla on December 26, 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Dortha Burger; three sons, John William Burger Jr. and wife, Jan, of Michigan, Kenneth Michael Burger of California and Stephen Paul Burger and wife, Tammie, of Heber Springs; three daughters, Jeanie Kreidwise of North Carolina, Barbi Barnum and husband, Charlie, of Virginia and Christy Bulla of Heber Springs; a sister, Dot Schultheis of Cincinnati, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many friends.
