DEATH TAKES EARLY DAY SPOKANE MAN

Early day Spokane area resident Charles Edward Helpingstine, N3717 Normandie, died Friday in a local hospital at the age of 95.
Mr. Helpingstine was born in Oconee, Ill, and came to this area 75 years ago. He had farmed near Colbert for many years before moving here. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Relatives surviving include six daughters, Mrs. Thomas King, Miss Grace Helpingstine, Mrs. Ann Jones, Mrs. Edna Shaw, Mrs. Mabel Larson, all of Spokane and Mrs. Lucille Lord of Caldwell, Idaho; three sons, Schuyler, and Ray, both of Mead, Wash., Alva, Spokane, and five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are set for Monday at 3 p.m. at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home. The Rev. J. W. Spurling will officiate and burial will follow at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
