Mr. Benech graduated from Beyer High School in 1975 andattended MJC before transferring to UC Berkeley where he earned his BA and MBA degrees.
After graduation in 1981, Mr. Benech remained in Berkeley. He had a varied career in business, including owning his own Import/Export and Mortgage Brokerage firms. In addition, he was a real estate broker, tax preparer, accountant, & landlord.
His interests included rebuilding and fixing cars, playing poker, driving, viewing solar eclipses, listening to music, and the Oakland Raiders.
Mr. Benech is survived by his father Wallace Benech of Modesto; and his sister Maria Benech & sister-in-law Margaret Lawrence of Jamestown.
