MR. HENRY F. CORLE
CANEY,Kan. Henry Floyd Corle, age 96, former Caney, Kan., resident, passed away on March 6,2005 at the Silver Lake Care Center, Bartlesville, Okla.
He was born March 8, 1908 in Bolton, Kan. to Frank L. and Vivia 0. (Key) Corle.
Mr. Corle married Opal M. Long on March 8, 1933 in Caney, Kan. She preceded him in death Nov. 17, 1983.
Mr. and Mrs. Corle moved to Caney, Kan. in 1934.
He worked for the Sante Fe and Missouri Pacific Railroad for 10 years. Mr. Corle was also known as a handyman and owned and operated his own wallpaper business. He also worked for Blackledge Sales for 30 years.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Caney #324.
Mr. Corle moved to Bartlesvile to live with his daughter Sylvia in 2001. He then moved to Silver Lake Care Center in Bartlesville, Okla. in 2004.
He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Loftin, Bartlesville, Okla. and Patsy Carter, Sedan, Kan.; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Nellie Moore, Havana, Kan. and one brother, Elmer Corle, Boisie, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lorile, Charlie, Alfred and Kenneth Cone and one sister, Dorothy McNown.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at the Penwell-Gabel Graves Chapel in Caney, Kan. Rev. Mark Loftin of the United Methodist Church of Elk City, Kan. will be officiating. Masonic Services will be held by the Caney Masonic Lodge #324.
Burial will follow in the Fawn Creek Cemetery, which is northeast of Tyro, Kan.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Graves Chapel of Caney, 107 N. Street, Caney, Kan.
