FUNERAL HELD FOR B.M. BAISDEN FRIDAY

B.M. Baisden, well-known farmer of route six, passed away after a brief illness at his home early last Thursday morning. The deceased had been ill only a week. He was a member of the Methodist church and a Mason.
Surviving are three sons, A.L. of Dozier, route one; A.M. of Marion, W. Va.; Lewis, of Trudean, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Bibb Cottle, route six and Miss Vera Baisden, of route six; three brothers, T.E. of Andalusia; J.K. of Houston, Texas, and G.R. Baisden of Pear Valley, Texas; also one sister, Mrs. M.A. Boyett of route six.

Funeral services were conducted by Dr. D.W. Haskew, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Andalusia, at Antioch Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Music was furnished by the Antioch choir under the direction of Rev. Tillman. During the services the choir sang "My Faith Looks Up To Thee" and "Nearer My God To Thee". Dr. Haskew spoke words of comfort to the large number of relatives and friends attending.
Interment followed in the Antioch cemetery. Pall bearers were Phil Gantt, Jim Gantt, Tom Cottle, Alex Wilson, Bob Floyd, and Oscar Chandler.

Among those attending from out-of-town were Mr. Tyson Baisden, and Mrs. Edna Stanton, a nephew and niece, of Columbus, Ga. Many friends from all parts of the county attended.
