Melva D. Ruff, 68, of 513 Columbia Dr. died 2 a.m. today in St. Rita's Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1903, in Allen County, she was the daughter of Walter and Martha (Harshe) Hefner. She married Justin Huff and he died in 1953.
She is survived by a son, Robert of Havanna, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Frail of 513 Columbia Dr. and Mrs. Dennis (Emmajane) Vandemark of 514 N. Kenilworth; two brothers, Paul and Maurice Hefner, both of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Lena Hawk of Ada, nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and Daughters of America.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev. Fred Moore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 tonight at the funeral home.
