Ivan A. LaRue was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Ogdensburg, a son of Fred and Ida Forsythe LaRue. He married Janeta Pike Nov. 4, 1939, in North Carolina. Mrs. LaRue died March 24, 1991.

They owned and operated a dairy farm in Kendrew for 40 years and moved to their home on Pope Mills Road in 1979.

Mr. LaRue was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
