Miss Adolia (sic/Obdulia) Becker, the 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker who resides east of town, died Saturday afternoon of heart disease after an illness of several months. She was buried Monday morning. Services were held at the St. Joseph church and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Becker's aged mother and brother Herman of Ackley were in attendence at the funeral. The bereaved parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their loss.

Mr. and Mrs. John Becker of America township were called upon to mourn the loss of their little daughter, Abdola (sic/Obdulia) about twelve years of age. The little girl was sick last winter with scarlet fever and never fully recovered from the effects, and suffered with her heart dying of dropsy of the heart on Saturday. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's church on Monday morning conducted by Rev. Father Feuerstein. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the community in their loss.
