OBITUARY Iron County Reporter March 12 2003 "Obituaries: Hannah Flashberger [Flaschberger]"
CASPIAN - Hannah Flashberger, 91, of 50 Bengal, died Feb. 27 at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late John and Mary Peschel. She moved to Caspian as a child with her family where she grew up and attended school. On Oct. 3, 1931 she married Jack Flaschberger and the couple made their home in Caspian. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. She also enjoyed flower gardening. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Kaye Ray; an infant daughter Marie; two brothers, Joseph and John Peschel; and six sisters, Kathryn, Annie, Jean, Marie, Viola and Julia.
She is survived by her husband; a son Kenneth (Carol) of Caspian; two daughters, Janet (Chet) Stanchina of Castro Valley, Calif. and Bonnie (Ronald) Gehlhoff of Stevensville; a sister Alice Ball of West Hills, Calif.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced.
Burial will be in the Stambaugh Cemetery.

CASPIAN - A Memorial Mass for Jack and Hannah Flashberger [Flaschberger] will be held Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Norm Clisch, pastor, officiating. A memorial luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the Mass. Burial will be in the Stambaugh Cemetery. Langenberg Funeral Home - Stambaugh Chapel is serving the family.
