William Howard Spory, 41, a hunting safety instructor, died Friday (March 27, 1992) in University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.
Mr. Spory was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of Roger W. and Ada Lou Howard Spory. He married Diana Sue Byrn, Aug. 27, 1971, in Wayland. She survives.
A 1969 graduate of Clark County R-1 High School, Mr. Spory worked at the Foote-Mineral Plant, Keokuk, Iowa and the Burr Sawmill and Pallet Factory, Wayland and Kahoka. He was a past administrator of the Clark County Ambulance District. He had worked for the city of Kahoka since 1990. He was a former assistant fire chief in Wayland and a member of First Baptist Church, Kahoka.
Survivors also include his father and stepmother, Grace, of Kahoka; two daughters, Heather L. and Dene R., both of Kahoka;a son, Charles W., Kahoka; and two brothers, Keith E. of Kirksville, and R. Kent of Wayland.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Gary Payne and the Rev. Russell Branch in First Baptist Church. Burial in the Frazee Cemetery, Wayland, MO.
