Chesley “Tuck” Younger, 81, of Palestine Road, Paris Route 6, was pronounced dead on arrival early this morning at Henry County Medical Center.
Services will be at 2:30 PM Saturday at Ridgeway Morticians with R T Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
A native Henry Countian, he was born April 8, 1905, son of the late William and Julie Markham Younger. He was married to the former Louise Carrington, who survives. He was a veteran of World War I.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight daughters: Ruby Lee Culver of Lansing, MI, Rachel Lyn Younger of Paris, Marie Alexander of Texas, Margaret Lingenfelter of Buchanan, Susan Baker of South Carolina, Pam Johnson of Indiana, and Linda Freeland and Glenda Ligon, both of Paris; a stepdaughter, Lisa Heck of Paris; two sons: Richard Younger of Paris and Jimmy Younger of Indiana; two stepsons: Randall and Martin Kelley of Paris; a brother: Clint “Jack” Younger of Paris; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were a son: Tommy Younger; three sisters, three brothers and a stepdaughter: Karen Kelley.
