Funeral services for Marie Dallas Carroll, 90, of Paris were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Corey Cain was to officiate. Family members were to serve as pallbearers.

Burial was to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery near Cottage Grove.

Carroll died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Arbor Place in Clinton, Ky.
She was born March 29, 1925, in Cottage Grove to the late Porter and Myrtie Ray Thompson.

On Dec. 23, 1940, she was married to Robert Lee Carroll, who died Sept. 13, 1994.

She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church in Paris.

Family members said she loved to cook, read and watch “The Waltons.”

She is survived by a daughter: Linda Carroll of Clinton, Ky.; four grandchildren: Paula (Ricky) Nance, Cindy Carroll, Clint (Vicky) Todd and Jody (Tara) Todd; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters: Grace Thompson Smith, Fossie Thompson Kuykendall, Nannie Thompson Pullen and Katherine Thompson Cronin; and two brothers: Noble and Jessie Thompson.
