Marie Yocom, age 89, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN.

A native of Cornelia, GA, she was retired from Food Services at Crockett Hospital and was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Cecil Crawford and Mattie Josephine Church Gunn. She was also preceded in death by her husband: William Hoyt Yocom; two sons: William Hoyt Yocom, Jr. and Roger Kim Yocom; one daughter: Mattie Jalene Shults; four brothers: J.C. Gunn, Charles Gunn, Ted Gunn, Hoyt Gunn; one sister: Edna Mae Hardison; great-granddaughter: Tonya Belew. She is survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Marie Yocom were conducted Monday, February 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Neal Funeral Home with Lonnie Box officiating. Interment followed in the Gum Springs Cemetery. Condolences may be sent by way of the funeral home's website. Neal Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
