Daisy Irene Baugher, 96, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, February 21, 2004, at her home. Daisy was the loving wife of William H. Baugher Sr., who died November 5, 1971.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with her pastor, the Rev. Scott A. Sager, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born December 13, 1907, in Brodbecks, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mellie Kate (Laughman) Boehler.
Daisy was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ, Hanover, where she was also the oldest member.
She worked at the former Hanover Glove Factory for a few years and at Cremer's Florist in Hanover for several years before her retirement.
Daisy is survived by five daughters, Janet Nace of Porters Sideling, Ella Miller of Silver Run, Md., Barbara Hartlaub of Hanover, Romaine Troutman of Hanover, and Pauline Snyder of Hanover; one son, Kenneth Baugher of Hanover; 27 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pauline Snyder of New Oxford.
She was preceded in death by four children, William H. Baugher Jr., Stewart Baugher, Dale Baugher, and Eleanor Miller; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Leisetha Baugher and Lizzie Harold.
