Mr. Johnson died of cancer Wednesday at his home. He was retired and had worked for 34 years at McDonnell Douglas, where he was an expeditor. He is a member of the Machinists Union, Local 837.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Johnson of West Alton; a son, Clay Reed of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Doris Crits and Delores Barnett, both of Flat River, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Meier of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
