The funeral for James Arnold Cooley of Ridgefield, Wash., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Northwood Park Cemetery in Ridgefield.
Mr. Cooley died of cancer Wednesday in his Ridgefield home. He was 80.
He was born May 9, 1912, in Fort Ransom, N.D. He married Charlotte Overman in 1942 in Lewiston, Idaho. Mr. Cooley was a pipe welder for various construction projects, retiring in 1976. He moved to Ridgefield in 1979.
Mr. Cooley was a member of United Association Local 40 in Bellingham, Wash.
Mrs. Cooley died in 1990.
Survivors include his son, Richard Baldwin of Clatskanie; sisters, Gladys Bailey of Vancouver, Wash., Clara Kelly of Portland, Nellie Stewart of Troutdale, and Hazel Porter of Seattle; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to Hospice Southwest, P.O. Box 1600, Vancouver, Wash., 98668.
