Mildred Lucille Walker, 94, Yates Center, Kansas, died Monday, January 19, 2009, at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington, Kansas.

She was born March 18, 1914, in Canton, South Dakota, to Harrison and Lillian (Goodale) Shaff.

She married Clarence Walker on Aug. 14, 1937, in Yates Center, Kansas. He died Aug. 1, 1988.

She and her husband farmed.

She was a member of the Turkey Creek United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Everett Walker, Humboldt, KS; a daughter, Evelyn Hunt, Yates Center, KS; four grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; and a step-great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Walker; two sisters, Ethel Dasso and Jean Bedell; and a brother, Howard Shaff.

Funeral will be at Campbell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Yates Center Cemetery, Yates Center, Kansas.
