John H. Seggerman was born at Eureka, Illinois, 11 Sept. 1862, and passed away at his home in Dixon, Illinois, 21 Oct 1922, after a lingering illness.

In the year of 1884 he was married to Miss Grace Seggerman, and to this union three children were born, two passing away in infancy, and Henry dying at the age of eight. Mrs Seggerman passed away in 1888. In 1893 he was married to Miss Nancy Sloter, who died in 1894.

After residing on a farm near Benson for a number of years, Mr Seggerman moved to a farm near Amboy where he engaged in farming until 1903, when he retired and took up his residence in Dixon. Sept 26, 1901 he was united in marriage with Rosa Wedekind.

Left to mourn his death are his widow, his mother, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs Margaret Huntling, Lincoln, Nebraska, Henry J. Seggerman of Minonk, Illinois, Mrs John A. Johnson of Pontiac, Illinois, Richard Seggerman of Minonk, Albert Seggerman of Minonk, Mrs Benjamin Jinkison of Sheldon, Iowa, and Mrs Harm Harms of Minonk. His father and youngest sister, Mrs Geo. B. Eilts, preceded him in death.
