OBITUARY.
Elizabeth Stanley was born in Indiana, May 2, 1845, and died at her home in Kellogg, Iowa, August 16, 1916. On February 9, 1865 she was married to Joshua B. Hill who preceded her almost 17 years ago. To this union were born eight children, three girls and five boys. Wm. E, of Emmet, Idaho, Ed., Bert, Howard and Leslie of Kellogg, Mrs. Dora Balmer and Mrs. Anna Smith, of Kellogg, and Mrs. Mary Eubank, of Mingo, Iowa, all of whom have been in almost constant attendance at their mother's bedside for the past four weeks.
On the morning of July 4th, she sustained a severe fall breaking three of her ribs since which time she has continued to grow worse until death came as a relief. All that medical aid and loving hands could do, was done but to no avail. Mother Hill was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
From her girlhood up she had been a member of the Friends church until the last five years when she united with the M.E. church.
Funeral services will be held at her late home at 1:30 this (Friday) afternoon.
