Mrs. L.G. Crabtree died at her home near Dickens on 22 April and was buried at the Dickens Cemetery on 23 April. Mrs. Crabtree's maiden name was Nancy Elisabeth Medlin. She was the daughter of a Baptist minister. She was born on 21 February 1871. At the age of nine, she was converted and a year later became a member of the Baptist church. In 1891, Nancy Medlin married Henry L. Hunnicutt. To this union were born five girls and three boys, all of whom are living. After the death of her husband, she married F.G. Crabtree 14 January 1926, a well-known pioneer of this section. Services were held in the Dickens Baptist Church. "Aunt Nannie" as she was known to many will live on in the hearts of her mother, husband, her children.

Survived by her husband; her mother; her children - Mrs. G.T. Wise, Mrs. H.C. Hatcher, Mrs. Ruth Smith, Miss Edna Hunnicutt, Paul Hunnicutt, Lawrence Hunnicutt, Carroll Hunnicutt, Vida Greer; three brothers; three sisters and her husband's five children.
