Mrs R. H. Hanks Dead

Mrs Jennie Hanks, wife of R. H. Hanks, well known citizen of Mt. Olive, died at her home at that place last Monday night, July 22nd, at the age of 69 years.

Burial took place Wednesday in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends of deceased. Mrs Hanks has been in failing health for many months past being a sufferer from Bright's disease and heart trouble and her death was not unexpected.

Deceased was born and reared at Mt Olive and practically all her life was spent in that vicinity. She was a devout Christian, enjoying the love and esteem of a large circle of friends. Despite her illness, which at times reached the extent of extreme suffering, she endured with remarkable patience and fortitude. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, eight daughters and one brother.
