Albert E. Fox 85, Indianapolis, died Saturday, January 17, 2009. Albert was born in Indianapolis on June 14, 1923. Albert retired from Eli Lilly, after working as a supervisor of production for 41 years. He married Joan Miller and she survives.

Mr. Fox was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Beech Grove. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and was a Shriner. Mr. Fox was very proud to be involved in the 736 Tank Battalion Special Association. During WWII, Albert was first to and cross the rivers of Ruhr, Rhine and Elbe, where he was farthest East of the U.S. Forces.

Survivors include wife; son, Glenn Fox; two step-sons, Michael and David Moore; one step-daughter, Mary Anne Abbott; one sister, Catherine Dreyfus; seven step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143, with funeral service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
