"William Record Dies at His Home
William Franklin Record, 79, a farmer, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday at his home near Garfield. Death followed an extended illness.
Born in Montgomery County on November 28, 1876, he was the son of James K.P. and Mary M. Hutton Record. On December 24, 1907, he married Mae Coons who preceded him in death on April 17, 1915. He was married again on October 8, 1922 to Adean Steele who survives.
He was a member of the Youngs Chapel Church.
Surviving besides the widow are a son, Howard of Rt. 1 Crawfordsville, two daughters, Mrs. Keith Cox of Carmel and Mrs. Harold Haffner of Thorntown; a step-daughter, Mrs. James Belcher of Indianapolis and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bright Funeral Home here, with Rev. Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home."
