James McFarland Bollinger, 78, a resident of the Fairmead vicinity, died at 12:30 this morning in a Madera hospital. He was a native of Missouri and had lived 13 years in Madera County and 62 years in California.
He was the father of Eugene J. Bollinger of Los Angeles, Mrs. C. W. Ross of Wasco, Mrs. T. H. Ryan of San Martin, Miss Estelle Bollinger, San Jose; a brother John of Santa Cruz, Mose (Moses) of Campbell, Mrs. B. F. Bollinger of Chowchilla, Mrs. Evelyn Carney and Mrs. P. Brown of Campbell, Mrs. V. Clara Tolly of San Jose; and he is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Davis chapel in Newman at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be held in the Bollinger Family plot in Odd Fellows cemetery in Newman.
