Mrs Jap (Bertha) Allen, 65, died in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital Saturday following a short illness.
Services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 2 pm Tues. with the Rev Carl McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Born Feb 24, 1906 in Texas, she was united in marriage to Jasper Allen in 1929 in Las Cruces, NM. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and has resided in Altus since 1930.
Survivors include five sons, Bill Yocham, Robert Yocham, Floyd Allen, Monroe Allen, Richard Allen, all of Altus, three daughters;
Mrs Mary Ruth Norris, Macon, GA, Mrs Lola Hazelwood, Altus, Mrs Alice Faye Purdue, Defeniac Springs, FL (DeFuniak, Walton County, FL);
one brother; Bluford Turner, Lovington, NM, a sister, Mrs Lones Ward, Coleman, Texas;
35 grandfather and 15 great-grandchildren.
