Emma Jane Hedrick, daughter of, John Wesley and Mary A. (Morrow) Hedrick.

Emma Jane Hedrick married Dr. Edward Leonidas Lathrop on May 24, 1872 in Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa. Dr. Edward L. Lathrop is the son of Samuel G. and Cynthia (Clay) Lathrop.

WIFE OF PIONEER PHYSICIAN DIES

Mrs. Emma Hedrick Lathrop, pioneer of Wapello County and widow of the late Dr. E. L. Lathrop, on of the early physicians of this community died suddenly last evening at 8:25 o'clock at Marshalltown.

Mrs. Lathrop is survived by two sons, Sergt. Edward Hedrick Lathrop of camp Vail, N.J. and John Gordon Lathrop of Ottuwma.

The body will arrive from Marshalltown this evening at 10:35 o'clock and funderal services will be held at Daggett's chapel at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. G. Ramsay of the First Congreational church. The Interment will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
