She was born Nov. 24, 1930, in Allen County to Walter B. and Tracy Van Pelt McClain, who preceded her in death. On July 3, 1948, she married Adrian D. "Abe" Dershem, who died Oct. 6, 2000.
Mrs. Dershem retired from financial services at Lima Memorial Health System. She attended Westview United Methodist Church, Cridersville, and had been a member of Christie United Methodist. She was a member of the Fireside Campers.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean (Gary) Johns, of Piqua; a daughter-in-law, Christine Dershem, of Lima; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Joseph) Suttman, of Richmond, Ky., David (Kristina) Johns, of Cleveland, Shawn Dershem, Melissa Dershem and Jessica Dershem, all of Lima, Teresa Dershem, of Arkansas, and Anthony (Jannalee) Dershem, serving in Afghanistan; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Lotz, of Cridersville.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Adrian, Dan and Harold Dershem; and a great-grandson, Dominic Allan Ryane.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Wiles will officiate. Burial will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
