OBITUARY CHRISTIAN SMITH-MEYERSDALE COMMERCIAL - JUNE 1, 1893

Smith died-May 27, 1893, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Brant, Hay's Mills.
Mr. Christian Smith, aged 73 yrs., 1 mo. & 14 days. The deceased was twice married; his children who survive him are Mrs. Jno. B. Weimer, Mrs. Jno. M. Fike of town; Mrs. Wagaman, Bedford Co.; Mrs. Miller, Mt. Pleasant: Mrs. J. S. Miller, Dixon, Ill. & a son living in Bedford Co. He was a member of the Reformed church & died steadfast in its faith. Interment at White Oak on Monday.

Second wife Elizabeth Weimer
Both are buried same family plot as Christian along with son John (son of Mary), son James (son of Elizabeth)and his three grandchildren James A Baker, Charles C Baker, Ada M Baker children of daughter Mary Ellen Smith & Noah Baker.
