WESTON, Idaho - Edwin D. Rich, 56, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2005. at the Franklin County Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1949, in Logan, Utah, to Dean L. and Myrel Elwood Rich. Edwin married Christine Beins on Nov. 5, 1970. in the Logan LDS Temple. They were later divorced. Ed later met Erica Johnson, and they were married on Oct. 12, 1989, in Jackson Hole, Wyo. They were later sealed in the Temple.
Ed was active in the LDS Church and served a mission to Mexico. He served in many callings. including the Young Men's, Scouts, and second counselor in the bishopric. He had many different talents and could build or fix most anything. He always enjoyed rebuilding cars and loved building and flying airplanes.
Ed enjoyed shooting and volunteered at the Cache Valley Hunters' Education Center. He loved to play golf and worked at Bridgerland Applied Technology Center where he started many of the programs there. He was closely involved in the Diesel Programs, Industrial Management, and was heading up the Heavy Equipment Operations Program. He was also in the administration in Brigham City where he also was a member of the Brigham Kiwanis club.
He is survived by his wife Erica, of Weston; sons Thomas and Dawson, of Weston; daughters Morgan and Madison also of Weston; daughters, Danyel Trujillo, Clearfield, Utah; Kayleen Rich, Logan, Utah; Valerie (Cesar) Ayala, Logan, Utah; sons. Wesley (Tera) Rich, Preston; and Marshall (Chelsye) Rich, Logan, Utah; six grandchildren, and sisters, Cathy (Steve) Denton, Smithfield, Utah; Marsha (Jerry) Jensen, Hyrum, Utah; Jackie (Bob) Hardy, Layton, Utah; Sharie (Don) Spatig, Ogden, Utah; Genet (Shane) Brown, Hyrum, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at noon in the Weston First Ward Chapel with Bishop Alan Campbell conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery
