James Berry "Jim" Hunt was the husband of Magaret Ada Idella "Maggie" Henderson and the son of Wilborn and Melviney Crumpton Hunt. Jim and Maggie were married 22 Oct 1899 in Sardis, Winston Co., AL.

James B Hunt, age 86, retired farmer, died unexpectedly at his home in Columbia, Friday, November 20, 1959. He had been in poor health for some time, Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 P.M. at Highland Park Baptist Church by Rev. Lowell Knupp and burial was in the Leoma Cemetery. Mr. Hunt's wife, the former Miss Magaret Henderson died iin 1952.

He was a native of Claiburn County, GA and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Limmer (James Ottis) Roberts of Nashville; Miss Reathie Hunt and Miss Addie Hunt, both of Columbia; two sons; Grady Hunt of Columbia and Alvin Hunt of Fayetteville, N. C.; nine grandchildren.
