Joseph Clinton French, Sr., 60, a carpenter here for 40 years, died at 3:10 pm yesterday while being taken to General Hospital in a Police ambulance.
He suffered a heart a heart attack a short time earlier at his home, 2725 S. Third St.

He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Holy Name Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Viola R. French; two daughters, Mrs. Laverna Allen and Mrs Lucille Tabeling; three sons, Joseph C. Jr., Charles G and John E. French; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Huffman, Mrs. Blanche Kurtz, Mrs. Thelma Finley, Mrs. Fern .O'Brien, and Miss Leona French; and a grandchild.

The funeral will be at 8:45 am Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third St., and at 9 am at Holy Name Church. Burial will be in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.
