Mr. Shirley, a mechanic, was born July 14, 1875, in Ray county, Mo.
He is survived by a son, Byron Shirley of Boise; a daughter, Mrs. Ennis Hollsteen of Boise, and 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Relyea chapel is arranging services.

Othelo and his wife Lola worked very hard all of their lives to provide for their family. He was quite the entrepreneur. He homesteaded 156 acres in Owyhee County, built a ferry to cross the Snake River and launched it at Walter's Ferry. He and his brother Timothy Q Shirley, had an Opal mine, O.T. built a drilling rig to drill wells in Owyhee County and he owned his own garage "Shirley's Garage" All of his endeavers were lost during the depression.
**Note: O.T. Shirley's first name is frequently spelled with two "L's", however in documents he signed, he wrote his name with only one "L"
