"William F. Austin, 75, of Allyn, died this morning at the Bremerton Convalescent Home after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Austun was born Aug. 31, 1891, in Vaughn to Harry and Mary Margaret Austin. He entered the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1941 as a public works employee and retired from the yard in 1955.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, Norma, of the family home; three daughters, Mrs. Nelda Scherfenberg of Bremerton, Mrs. Mildred King of Moses Lake and Mrs. Mary Lindsay of Camarillo, Calif.; three sons, William Austin, Jr., of Allyn and Henry O. Austin and John D. Austin, both of Bremerton; a sister, Mrs. Esther Harriman of Vaughn; 25 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
