"Ethel V. Attwood, 85, Port Angeles, formerly of Shelton, died Friday, July 18, 1986, in her home. She was born May 12, 1901, in Tacoma.


Mrs. Attwood lived in Shelton from 1930 to 1955 and was a founding member of the Shelton (now Mason) General Hospital Auxiliary. After moving to Port Angeles in 1955, she was active in fund-raising for the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.


Surviving are her husband, Leonard, in Port Angeles; three daughters, Betty McClanahan of Shelton, Alice Attwood in California, and Judy McGill of Seattle; one sister, Alice Anderson in California; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


The funeral service for Mrs. Attwood will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, in McComb and Batstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Maddux officiating. Burial will be in Shelton Memorial Park." The Olympian (Olympia, Washington), July 20, 1986
