James R. Hagood, retired farmer who lived on 19th NW, died Thursday about 5:00 p.m. at home after an illness.
He was born in Lamar County, June 13, 1877, one of 14 children of John Hagood and Sarah Morgan Hagood.
Funeral service, Saturday at 2:00 p.m., will be held in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Crowley Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in northeast Lamar County. The burial will be scheduled at a later date due to the heavy rainfall.
Mr. Hagood leaves his wife, the former Miss Daisy Lee; and two sisters, Mary Jane Preston and Minnie Hagood.
