John Robert Rush,Jr., 92, a retired grocer and farmer of Cooper Heights, GA ,died Sunday, August 2, l971,in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Shannon Rush.
Survivors include six daughters, Ora Hood(Harley)and Irene Barrett (Johnny), Chickamauga,GA, Mae Aaron (Hester), Lawrenceburg,TN, Bessie Davis (Homer), Chattanooga,TN, Winnie Conn (Coy), Kensington, GA and Mossie Turner(Estil),Rossville,GA, four sons, Willie C. Rush, Chattanooga TN, Carl E.Rush, Winston Rush and Burl L.Rush, all of Kensington, GA, one half brother, Harry Rush, Chattanooga,TN.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of the J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home, Chickamauga GA, with the Rev. Charlie Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Singleterry Cemetery, Cooper Heights, GA.
